Joseph's Room

Well after alot of hard work and painting (thank you DJ) we finally finished Joseph's room! Here is how it turned out!

I have to give DJ his proper dues for this idea...I made the cross, but it was his idea to hang it so that it looked like the helicopter it pulling it up! Pretty cute!

This is the cute chalk board door hanging that Bethany made! We will take it to the hospital and write his stats on it when he is born!

Baby Shower

On October 17 some of my best friends threw me a wonderful baby shower!! We got all kinds of goodies for Joseph! The kid has so many cute outfits! They had the wonderful idea of having people paint onzies for Joseph and they turned out so cute! Here are a few pictures from that afternoon!

28 Weeks

28 weeks! We had a good check up, blood glucose test was great, blood pressure is still great and Joseph seems to be growing rapidly! He is a very active little boy! Of course I don't really have anything to compare it too, but it seems that way! He moves all day long! The nursery is coming along. It is painted and as soon as we get everything put in I will post pictures!

24 Weeks

Well we went for our 24 week check up and everything is still fine! Joseph is doing well, his heart rate was 142 and he is still measuring further along than the calendar says he is! My blood pressure is still good and I feel great! I have however already gained the recomended 20 pounds, but I'm not swelling so my doctor was not worried. Instead she said that we will likely have a robust little boy, which was a nice way of putting it! So we carry on as we have been for now!

Joseph's Room

As most of you probably guessed, Joseph's room will be airplane themed! We don't have his room completely put together yet, but here is a sneak peek at his bedding. Pretty cute if I do say so myself!

20 Week Belly Pics

Well we made it! 20 weeks, half way! Hard to believe that we are already half way. It doesn't seem like it has been that long already. Joseph is growing everyday (as evidenced by my belly) and having routine dance parties in the womb! I am feeling good and am very thankful for that!

It's A BOY!

We went to the doctor this morning for our 19 week visit. Every thing looks great! We found out that our sweet baby is a boy, and that he weighs about 11oz! His name will be Donald Joseph Powell, III, but we will call him Joseph! As you can imagine he will have an airplane themed room and his daddy is on the ball finding cute stuff to go in it! Joseph is still measuring a little further along than the calendar says he is, but right now it is not enough of a difference to change the due date, so Christmas Eve it is for now!

On a side note DJ and I celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary last week. Our actual anniversary is July 28th, but since DJ had to work that day we went out to eat this past weekend for a nice dinner at Mint! It was perfect!
